The Village by name Chowdantivalasa wherein the Sri Maha Kameswari Devi temple was raised around 18th century is in the Vizianagaram District of Andhra Pradesh. The village can be reached in 40 Kms by National Highway – 43 from Vizianagaram city .It can also be reached from Bobbili at 16 Kms or Salur at 15 Kms. From Village bus stop on National Highway there is a tar road leading to the village (about 1.5 Kms).

Sri Maha Kameswari Devi temple is located amidst the fields on the bank of a big lake and about ½ kms on the outskirts of the village Chowdantivalasa.

Sri Maha Kameswari Devi Koluvu Mandapam wherein the diety’s Koluvu is performed and exclusively constructed for the purpose of free use of Brahmin devotees, is walkable distance & located inside the village

(Kula devatha koluvu is a special ritualistic puja traditionally performed by the Brahmin devotees).
